CARIBBEANMEXICOARUBAISLANDARUBADES_001981PALMBEACHRES_001982.jpgTravel Planner Connie recently returned from a work trip to Aruba. She has given us some great feedback on the island and some of the hotels she was able to stay at and tour while there. Having this feedback is a great way for us to share with you the highlights of resorts as well as use our expertise to make your vacation exactly what you are looking for. So let’s find out what Connie had to say about the Aruba who’s slogan is One Happy Island.

“The island itself is very dry and lies outside of the hurricane belt. It never rained while we were there, but it was windy. If you are a foodie, then you will love Aruba. The restaurants on the island are upper class and very good. Bugaloe is a bar/restaurant on the pier at Palm Beach. It had friendly staff as well as free wifi and was an excellent location for a cold beer. All in all the island was one of the friendliest and safest places I have ever been in the Caribbean.
I was able to tour the Occidental which will soon be the Barcelo. The room was nice and the the-occidental-grand.jpgfridge was stocked with soda and beer. The staff was very accommodating from the woman seating guests at the buffet to the bartender in the lobby and our bell hop. They showed genuine concern for our happiness and overall experience at the resort. Although I was unable to try it, the Italian restaurant came highly recommended.

Staff was all very nice at this location and there was free WiFi with up to four devices per room. It was one of the nicer all-inclusive resorts in the area and I would definitely go back.”
Connie was able to also do excursions and is an excellent resource if you are looking to travel to Aruba. This is a great location for late summer and early fall due to the fact that it lies outside the hurricane belt, avoiding this time of year’s bad weather.
