Thanks to Travel Planner Connie I have a little Monday morning inspiration for you. Lucky her she just returned from a fabulous vacation at beautiful Secrets Huatulco and has provided us all with a great description (making me jealous for sure). This cliff side resort with gorgeous ocean views is sure to inspire any of craving a little sun therapy.

“It is a modern hotel built into the side of a small mountain.  The lobby is at the top.  4 restaurants and 2 bars are located in that area (top floor and one floor down).  There are six buildings all with ocean view rooms.  Buildings 3 and 4 on the first floor have 12548860_10154048065366833_5566739701571814142_n.jpgjacuzzis on the patio and buildings 5 and 6 have swimout rooms.  The rooms have an open concept for the bathroom with a shower that has a teak floor with a rain shower.  The tub has a sliding way that you can move over and see in the room if you want.  There are too main pool areas the activities / swim up bar pool and the quiet pool.  There is a place to get lunch down by the pool and at night it is an open air pizza place.  The hotel is on a private cove and the beach is great for long walks.  The sand is coarse but you can find many shells.  Off to one side is a building set up on the side of the mountain where you can have lunch in Castaways and for dinner you have the steakhouse and next door is seafood.  There is a roof top bar there too.  Further up is the spa and gym area.  Both12573754_10154048065301833_972958131435548504_n.jpg of these areas you can walk to or take a golf cart.

The resort is about 30 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from town.  It cost about 6 USD for a taxi to town.  One of the tours will take you to the coffee plantation and you get some coffee that is considered one of the top 10 in the world.  Another tour you get to do a tequila tasting.  The town is small and quaint and there is a church with a beautiful painting on the ceiling.
Not only does this resort sound fantastic, but the excursions seem top notch as well. I would love to visit the coffee plantation as well as the tequila tour. Coffee for the morning, tequila for the evening, sounds like a well balanced vacation day to me.
