Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark is a city with endless possibilities for entertainment and travel experiences. Denmark as a whole was voted the happiest country on the planet. This is compared to the U.S. which landed in 17th place. Denmark is the country who created Leggos and almost everyone speaks English. With that being said Copenhagen is a top green city in the world.

If winter isn’t your favorite season, do not worry. There is plenty for travelers to do all year long. Copenhagen, often known as the “Venice of the North,” is surrounded by the sea as well as canals. They have even made a sand beach that some say reminds them of the Caribbean. Strandpark is just 3 miles from the city center and sits nicely along a stretch of lagoon. Here people enjoy outdoor activities as well as sunbathing.

With over half the population biking to work everyday, this city was made for two wheels. Copenhagen has idyllic flat streets, easy to use bike lanes as well as a bike highway. There are easy ways to rent bikes throughout the city and will only cost you about $10 a day.

Overall Copenhagen is a safe, eco friendly city with unbelievable food, plus if nothing above sparked your interest, another nifty fact about this Danish capital is that their taxis all have Wi-Fi.
