Now this question may have confused you because it is all about semantics. The country with the most educated population is, in fact, Canada. With 50% of its population educated at the postsecondary level they beat out Israel, Japan and the United States with this coveted position. And although the Canadians reign first in number of most educated people they actually spend less of their GDP on education than the other 3.

Personally I love Canada, I used to live in Detroit, so going to Canada took about 10 minutes. I love that it feels like a mix of Europe and the United States. Toronto is one of my favorite locations in the whole world. Although it is a bit pricey, it is a beautiful city and if you have the time, enjoy dinner at the CN tower. It is not only breathtaking, but it houses the tallest wine cellar in the world.
